Information for research subjects

The Howard University GCRC is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to provide clinical research facilities to enable the conduct of high quality clinical research into important medical problems. It has a strong record of recruiting African American participants into clinical studies of cardiovascular disease, lipid metabolism, hypertension and mental health issues, among others. At any time, several dozen studies and protocols are ongoing in the GCRC.

The center is located in the 4-West wing of Howard University Hospital, which is located at 2041 Georgia Avenue, Washington, DC, just off the intersection of 7th Street/Georgia Avenue with Florida Avenue.
